Many of us from the MPMA region participated in Museums Advocacy Day 2011 this past February in Washington, D.C.
There were 310 advocates representing 46 states making approximately 250 visits on Capitol Hill that week, the strongest
showing to date. And there were so many more students this year that next year may see special segments just for students.
There were also many more trustees this year.
This year’s Museums Advocacy Day had a live webcast and several new opportunities for advocacy from home.
MPMA was a partnering sponsor of the event, and some of you participated with MPMA during the training day
via MPMA’s Facebook Page.
Bookmark it! Next year's Museums Advocacy Day will be February 27-28, 2012, in Washington, D.C.
