Description:

This is a temporary position that is focused on allowing the Brighton City Museum to be open on Saturdays in the summer. The ideal candidate will provide visitor service, research, office, and staff assistance to the Brighton City Museum. 

This position must work well in a group setting with peers and with the public, while providing excellent, respectful customer service and human relations skills, which support the City of Brighton’s mission and values.

This position is primarily responsible for opening and closing the museum on Saturdays throughout the summer season (June 1-September 1, except July 2) and in place of the Museum Specialist when they are absent. 

Key functions include, orienting and hosting visitors with historical information, conducting tours, leading volunteers, and assisting with museum records and artifacts as assigned that support research requests.
