    Position Title:    Audience Research Assistant

    Department:      Curatorial

    Location:            Santa Fe, NM

    Pay Range:         $15/ Hour

    Hours:                Part Time, Temporary 6 months,

                                Non-Exempt

    Position Summary

    The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is seeking a new member of the Curatorial and Interpretation team to support the museum’s audience research efforts. This outgoing team member will support various data collection efforts, from talking with visitors about their experience to collecting feedback about programs in which they have participated. The Audience Research Assistant will work closely with the Deputy Director for Collections and Engagement and the Collections and Interpretation Division Coordinator to develop and implement plans for reaching audience research goals. This individual will be outgoing, comfortable talking with the public, a good listener, and curious about people, with a background in customer service or audience research.

     

    *COVID-19 considerations: Common surfaces are sanitized regularly; safety and cleaning measures are in place to prevent the spread of the virus. Masks and PPE are provided to all staff.

     

     

    Responsibilities include but not limited to

     

    Data Collection

    • Collect data via a variety of methods, including intercept interviews, survey collection, and observation

     Working closely with the Deputy Director for Collections and Engagement and the Collections and Interpretation Division Coordinator collaboratively plan the data collection schedule 

     Working closely with the Deputy Director for Collections and Engagement and the Collections and Interpretation Division Coordinator collaboratively develop a data collection plan for achieving the museum’s audience research and evaluation goals.

    Special Projects or Additional Duties

    ·       Complete special projects or additional duties as assigned, and consistent with the skills, training, level of responsibility and other requirements for this position


    Background and Qualifications

    •       High School Diploma or GED – Required

     

    Skills and Abilities

    ·       Outgoing and comfortable talking with members of the public

    ·       Good interpersonal communication skills

    ·       Excellent listener

    ·       Flexible and able to adjust to changing circumstances

    ·       Organized and detail-oriented

    ·       Self-starter
