Museum of World Treasures
Immediate opening at the Museum of World Treasures in Wichita, Kansas. This individual will manage all fundraising and development activities of the Museum through the strategic development and effective execution of an annual Development Plan. The Plan covers annual fund, major gift, planned giving, capital fundraising, and endowment campaigns, special events, fundraising events, membership development, and partnership development. Develops departmental policies and procedures and directs the work of all development department personnel. Participates as a member of the senior management team, working closely with the President and Board of Directors to formulate and implement policies and plans to meet the Museum's short and long-term objectives. Plays a pivotal role in planning development and contributed revenue strategies that support the Museum's ongoing growth and brand reputation.
The Development Director of the Museum should have a successful track record and at least 3-5 years development experience. A Bachelor’s degree is required and a Master’s degree and CFRE designation preferred. Demonstrated success in soliciting and securing major gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations and government sources is essential. Knowledge of MatchMaker Fundraising Software, spreadsheets, internet, word processing, presentations, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferable. Prior event hosting and coordination experience a plus.
1. Food Handlers license and CPR certification a plus.
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience with appropriate benefits, including group health insurance and flexible paid time off. Salary $45,000.
