Oversee the Museum brand and promote proper positioning by both internal and external audiences including museum membership. Expand museum outreach to enhance attendance, events, and rentals. Work with museum staff to oversee the development of program identity and marketing strategy for each new program; develop, coordinate logistics, and manage museum events; promote, arrange and oversee rental agreements including logistics planning, contract negotiation and event management; direct publicizing and promotion of museum exhibits, programs and events through press releases, calendar placements, media contacts, and media packets; coordinate and be the representative of the museum during media (television, radio, print) interviews for special events and topics; direct the development of new membership programs and enhance existing membership programs; write creatively for promotional and fundraising campaigns; enhance museum public relations to extend the museum’s public impression by seeking out and participating in outreach events and special programming; coordinate and design membership newsletter and related marketing membership materials, write membership articles and seek out writing contributors; direct local, statewide, and regional advertising for the museum including managing relationships with outside marketing vendors and advertising agencies; contribute to and manage print production of museum print design projects; manage membership database and oversee staff working on database.
