MPMA at Museums Advocacy Day

Many of us from the MPMA region participate in Museums Advocacy Day in February every year in Washington, D.C.  There are about 300 advocates representing most states making approximately 250 visits on Capitol Hill that week.  There are also many students who attend as well as trustees.

Registration Now Open for Museums Advocacy Day 2018! MPMA members receive free registration.

With a new President and a new Congress, museums have had a lot at stake this year and many of these battles are not yet over. Federal funding will continue to be a major issue in 2018, and museums could also be significantly impacted by tax reform, education policy, infrastructure legislation, and more.

But legislators do not know how museums are impacted, and how they serve citizens, if they don’t hear it from you—the people they represent. Help make sure museums are at the table in 2018, not on the table.

Register Now
Because of MPMA’s continued partnership with AAM and financial support of Advocacy Day, MPMA members can register to participate in Advocacy Day for free! Contact director@mpma.net to take advantage of this benefit.
