    Mulvane Art Museum at Washburn University seeks a Collections Manager / Registrar.

    The Collections Manager and Registrar is responsible for the continuity of care for works of art at the Mulvane Art Museum at Washburn University and serves as the primary steward for receiving, managing, and caring for objects in the permanent collection, as well as those on loan to the Museum. Primary duties include managing procedures associated with accessioning and deaccessioning works; evaluating works, completing condition reports, and recommending remediation when appropriate; overseeing and managing database management and collection of provenance and research information; completing collection inventories and reports, and facilitating accessibility to the collections for teaching, learning, research needs, and providing information to assist in the development of university classes.
    The Collections Manager and Registrar plays an important role in maintaining the collections in their current locations, as well as engaging in long range planning of future museum storage and related collections spaces. Through work with the Mulvane team, the Collections Manager and Registrar will contribute to the development of diverse and accessible collections and inclusive exhibitions and programs.
