As a member of the Culture & Engagement Division of the Department of Parks, Recreation & Culture, individuals in this position perform work in a team-based environment supporting the Division’s mission and vision along with the goals, philosophies, and initiatives of the Culture & Engagement Manager.
As a member of the Town of Windsor Museums team, individuals in this position make art, culture, history, and nature accessible to the public through innovative and engaging programs. The Museum Education Specialist supports all aspects of the development and facilitation of museum programming, events, and informal education projects. The Town of Windsor Museums comprise the Windsor History Museum, the Art & Heritage Center, The Eaton House, and the Historic Halfway Homestead.
The Museum Education Specialist will work with a variety of audiences. Experience engaging with learners of all ages is preferred, and demonstrated success leading early childhood programming is required.
